I love to walk at night in Rome. You can't help but feel the layer history and atmosphere of one of the greatest cities in the world. What a great opportunity. College kids love Rome. Who wouldn't? maybe Martin Luther but I can't think of anyone else, probably Constantine didn't really like Rome either.My recommendation is to watch the 1950s Neorealist films that feature Rome or the early Fellini films. It brings you to a Rome before the crowds, the students, Hard Rock Cafe, McDonalds, and Chinese made (Roman) souvenirs.
